The Pepin x Charlotte Janvier Olla is a very limited edition self-watering olla co-created with illustrator Charlotte Janvier, designed to bring steady hydration to indoor plants while adding a distinctive decorative touch. Inspired by an ancestral irrigation method, this olla diffuses water gradually through the soil, helping maintain more consistent moisture around the roots and reducing the need for frequent watering. 

Created as an “olla with real character,” it includes a decorative sheath and temporary tattoos designed by Charlotte, making it ideal for gifting or styling alongside favourite houseplants. 

How it works
Place the olla into the potting soil near the plant’s root zone, leaving the top visible. Fill with water, then monitor the level and refill once it’s fully empty—often ranging from a few days up to about a week depending on plant type, pot size, and exposure. The roots naturally grow towards the moisture source, drawing the water they need as the soil dries.
