This bottle was inspired by the ‘chestnut’ shaped wine bottles manufactured in England between approximately 1715 and 1740. While these bottles were relatively unusual in Britain, where their primary use was in the 1720s and early 1730s, they were more widespread in continental Europe. The specific variant used for this limited edition, which features a narrow oval profile, is often described as having a ‘flat chestnut’ shape.

• Colour: A core of deep brick red, gently fading to a russet tone on the rim.
• Aroma: A beautifully mature and complex nose that is full of expressive, subtle nuances. Aromas of plum, fig, and sultana blend harmoniously with a mellow perfume of marzipan and butterscotch. Exotic hints of cigar box, cedarwood, and leather add an extra dimension.
• Flavour & Finish: The wine is seductively round and smooth on the palate. Discreet, beautifully integrated tannins provide an attractive dryness and grip. It is full of rich, fruit cake flavours, with a fresh plum character emerging on the long finish. This is a skilfully blended Tawny Port, harmonious and balanced, showcasing the intensity and finesse derived from ageing in seasoned oak casks.
